Seyh Samil: Alperen Music:: Imam Shamil (1797 March 1871) was an Avar political and religious leader of the Muslim tribes of the Northern Caucasus. He was a leader of anti-Russian resistance in the Caucasian War and was the third Imam of Dagestan and Chechnya (1834-1859). * His biggest achievement in my opinion was unifying the various ethnic peoples not on cultural or linguistic identities, but on there very faith. In so doing he provided effective resistance to Russian Imperialistic designs on the Caucasus for some 30+ years. As seen from comments on Caucasian videos, not enough people really know the Man they called Shamil and the monumental task he achieved not always with success but with preserverance and by the Grace of Allah all Mighty.
